PRIORITY

Education

Ben knows how hard the past two years have been for families with school-age children and for students, too many of whom have fallen behind and need a return to normal. He believes that investing in education is the best way to grow Missouri and help the country, and in Washington, he will champion children and education by:

  • Investing in universal pre-K access and in more affordable childcare
  • Making community college more affordable, and making Pell Grants available to students attending community colleges and vocational schools.
  • Supporting our most vulnerable children. St. Louis is home to many communities still impacted by the inequities of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ben believes we must offer support to those communities who have lost more than a year of valuable time in the classroom, including increased internet access, support for libraries and community centers, and empowering teachers and school staff to lead the way forward.
